Story
A conference organized by a university colleague, where the original organizing team unexpectedly backed out after the event had already been announced and tickets sold. I offered to take responsibility for organizing it myself, despite never having organized an event like this before. I gathered the people needed, and within about one to two weeks the conference was successfully held. Attendees responded well, and my colleague publicly thanked me on stage and gave me a gift.
Alex Medical Scout
Role
Leader & Team Member
Year
2022
Context
The scouting team of Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine. I participated for about two to three years, in activities including camps, outdoor activities, teamwork, and competitions.
Camps
A three-day camp in Abu Qir by the sea, and a five-day university scouting camp in Bagoush, Matrouh, with camping and nature-skills competitions, physical competitions, and beach sports.
Leadership
Later promoted to scout leader — teaching younger members and responsible for a group (رهط).
Contribution
Also contributed with my technical and creative skills: designed a mobile application for the team on one occasion, and created a voice-over video for them on another.
8th IUMP Graduation Ceremony
Role
Host / Main Arabic Speaker
Location
Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Date
November 2023
Context
The graduation ceremony of the International System at Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine. The organizing team invited me to host and speak at the ceremony, held in a two-level auditorium seating approximately 3,000 people. The audience included ambassadors from Arab and foreign countries, a Saudi princess, senior doctors and university officials, and the head of the Alexandria Medical Syndicate.
My role
Main Arabic-language speaker, with an English interpreter for non-Arabic-speaking guests — my first time speaking to an audience of this size. I received positive feedback on my performance.
This experience is also referenced from a medical-community angle on the Medicine page. A separate, later graduation ceremony — where I provided voice-over narration rather than hosting — is documented in Voice-over & Audio.
